DEHRADUN। UJVN Limited’s 120 MW Vyasi hydropower project achieved its annual target of financial year 2022-23 in December, 2022. Managing director UJVNL Shri Sandeep Singhal told that under the able guidance of Secretary Energy Dr. R. Meenakshi Sundaram and Chairperson of UJVNL Mrs. Radha Raturi the power generation of nigam has increased considerably and the work on new under-construction projects has gained momentum as well as consistently delivering high quality work in other related activities also. In continuation to this the Vyasi power project has surpassed it’s annual generation target of 322 million units for the financial year 2022-23. He told that Vyasi project has generated 322.203 million units of electricity upto 23rd of December, 2022 approximately three months prior to the end of financial year which indeed is a remarkable achievement. Talking about the project Mr. Sandeep Singhal told that the Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modiji has inaugurated this 120 megawatt hydropower project of state and national importance. The revenue earned by the power generated by this project is solely owned by the state and thus lessens our dependency on other states and private companies for electricity which in turn saves the funds off the state said Mr. Singhal. Expressing happiness on the record generation Mr. Sandeep Singhal gave it’s credit to the hardwork, dedication and refined work culture of nigam officers and employees under the excellent guidance of secretary energy, government of Uttarakhand and Chairperson of UJVNL. He hoped that the employees of nigam will achieve these benchmarks in future also.
